Handcrafted Knitting Needles & Crochet Hooks
For twenty years we’ve been committed to making, by hand, one at a time, heirloom quality crochet hooks and knitting needles that are incredibly beautiful, completely functional, exactly sized, and fully guaranteed.
We work almost exclusively in the Mexican species of rosewood commonly called cocobolo, which is quite different from the Asian rosewood species in color (it ranges from red and orange to purple and chocolate brown and it has vivid, inky-black grain patterning), density (it sinks in water), pore construction (very few), and durability (it will not split).
The flexibility and warmth offered by wood (and it’s cousin, bamboo) very significantly decrease the stress on the wrists and hands. We’ve often been told by people whose arthritis had unbearably forced them to give up doing handwork that they could resume it using our rosewood tools, and others have reported that they have been able to work for much longer periods.
